Born in Sweden and raised in Finland, Carita left the cold north at 19, first to pursue her Bachelor of Arts in journalism at Napier University in Edinburgh, and soon thereafter for a freelance career in Los Angeles.
Since landing in the City of Angels in 2003, she has become a go-to writer and entertainment reporter for outlets such as InStyle, New York Magazine, Variety, Vanity Fair, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Playboy and more. In the name of journalism, she has trekked with gorillas in the Congo, visited tent cities in Haiti, gone swimming with whale sharks in Mexico and attended every awards show in Hollywood.
Though no one ever told her she would be able to eat, travel and watch television for a living, she has built a career around her all-time favorite activities. Carita currently divides her time between LA and Paris.
